Roseacea is a redness of the skin sometimes accompanied by acne, oiliness and enlargement of the pores and the nose. The regular treatment consists of medicines to reduce the heat in the face and antibiotics to get rid of any infection in the pores. It is also recommended to avoid any heat, whether coming from sunlight or internally from hot spicy food, alcohol, etc.

While these recommendations may or may not work it is best to treat it from all the underlying sources, which are different for each patient. My mentor, Vaidya RK Mishra hailed from a long lineage of Ayurvedic dermatologists and he spent many years teaching me how to treat all the skin conditions.

The video discusses the narrow path we have to walk with each and every patient where, once all the underlying causes are identified, treatment protocols are begun to include dietary changes, herbal remedies, and detox protocols, all tailored to that particular patient’s imbalances.

Many times we need to fix the person’s digestion, cool the heat in the liver and blood, direct the toxins away from the skin and into the urine, change the diet, clean the fat cells, purify the sweat and clean the bone marrow. The video discusses all this in greater detail.

This inspired approach works better than the one-fits-all cookie cutter approach of just giving antibiotics and cooling down the skin, neither of which get to the source if the problem and in the long run make it worse as the antibiotics destroy more of the gut micro biome and heat up the liver, two of huge underlying causes in this difficult to treat problem.
