After months of training, I took a planned break and wanted to come back stronger but I returned with a fever instead.

This is my first flu since 3+ years ago and even though it's untimely and I've been very careful, it was going to happen. It's just a small hurdle in the very long road of performance cycling and I am confident I'll be back soon.

Nonetheless, family time is above all. I haven't met some of my relatives in Malaysia for as long as 18 years and managed to reconnect with them (I hope).

I compiled a little video montage of this retreat with them to rural Malaysia where I spent some time at Kuala Kurau and Pantai Remis, two quiet and small fishing villages on the west coast of Malaysia.
