I shipped my original Carter WO carburetor out to Sal at Vintage Jeeper in Pennsylvania for a proper rebuild and calibration. The Joe's Motor Pool carb just wasn't quite working right anymore. (And my attempt to clean and adjust it did NOT do it any favors.) He gave it a thorough cleaning, rebuild, and calibration, then gave it a test drive to prove its capabilities. It came back in fantastic condition compared to how it was, with new bronze bushings on the throttle casting, so it's time to install it and see if it solves all my drivability problems.

Spoiler Alert: It did not solve all my problems.

At the very least, I know with 100% certainty that the carburetor is NOT an issue. I believe that I need to just redo my ignition timing a little now that the plugs are gapped properly, the valves are adjusted to spec, and the carburetor arrived back in my hands pre-dialed in, and that might be it.
