Kaiseki is the traditional Japanese multi-course meal which is served at a Ryokan (Japanese style inn)and Kaiseki restaurant.
Nowadays, it is getting popular overseas as well.
However, I don’t think the origin and details of kaiseki are very common. Even in Japan, it’s not well known about it.
