Grace Paley, March 9, 1977, following a rousing welcoming ovation, reads her story "Wants," from Enormous Changes at the Last Minute (Farrar, Straus, and Giroux, 1974), at this special event for The Poetry Center held at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, at its Van Ness Avenue location. The full-program video includes Paley's complete reading, followed by a reading by Tillie Olsen, with Lewis MacAdams introducing the writers to a packed-house audience.
