西洋においてフライフィッシングの歴史は古く、昔は主にバンブーフライロッドと呼ばれる竹製のものが最高峰の竿として使用されていました。そんな竹竿を京都で40年近く作り続けている野中角宏さんは、日本におけるバンブーフライロッドビルダー（竹竿職人）の先駆けの一人として名を連ね、国内外に渡り多くのフライフィッシャーの竿を手掛けてきました。また、その仕事柄、日本全国はもちろん海外の僻地まで多くの釣行を重ねた野中さんにとって子供の頃から釣りに慣れ親しんだ原点とも言える川が、滋賀県西部を流れる安曇川です。そこにある豊かな自然と風情ある葛川や朽木の山里は野中さんにとっても心の景色であり、歳を重ねた今、改めて「幸せ」を感じられる場所なのかも知れません。

Kakuhiro Nonaka has been making bamboo fly rods in Kyoto for 40 years and is known as one of the leading experts in this field in Japan. And because of his work, he has traveled to many countries to fish.But there is one river that he calls his roots. It is the Adogawa River that flows through western Shiga. There is abundant nature and beautiful mountain villages there, and he has enjoyed fishing in this area since he was a child. Now that he is older, he feels happy to be able to fish here again.
