With no prior warning, the East German Regime opens the border between East and West Berlin on November 9th, 1989—after almost 30 years! Thousands of incredulous and jubilant East Berliners pour into the West. In the second episode of our series "Mein Mauerfall", actor Matthias Freihof tells his story. He doesn’t hear about the historical event until late at night. The reason: it was the premiere of the first East German film about homosexuality, "Coming-Out".
