Kurt Magnus Atterberg (12 December 1887 – 15 February 1974) was a Swedish composer and engineer. He is best known for his symphonies, operas, and ballets.

This sonata was originally written for cello (a score video of which can be found here:    • Kurt Atterberg - Sonata for Cello and...  ). The piece was later arranged for the french horn as per the request of one of his friends. The score I had only had the cello part and not the horn part, therefore there are a few discrepancies between the score and the audio. This is most apparent in the third movement where most of the triplets have been modified for ease of the performer.

I. Allegro 00:00
II. Adagio molto 6:31
III. Allegro energetico, poco pesante 13:19

Performed by
Horn - Imre Magyari
Piano - Ilona Prunyi
