On October 21, S. Supongmeren Jamir, the Lok Sabha MP from Nagaland, became the first MP from the state to visit Nagaland University in Lumami. This historic visit allowed for discussions on key issues facing the state, especially in education, research, and youth employment.
Dr. Abemo, the Registrar of Nagaland University, noted that no other MP from Nagaland has visited the campus before Jamir. The event was held in the I Ihoshe Kinimi Hall, attended by NU Vice Chancellor Prof. Jagadish K. Patnaik, faculty, and students.
