I was already to leave Singapore and head towards Malaysia but at the very last minute, I decided to stay!, I went off the beaten track to uncover some of Singapore’s hidden gems. First up, I started at the quirky and bizarre Haw Par Villa—an old theme park filled with weird and wonderful statues depicting Chinese mythology (and a bit of nightmare fuel too!).

Next, I headed over to Gillman Barracks, a former British military base turned into a hub for contemporary art. It was a cool mix of history and modern culture, definitely not your typical tourist stop.

After that, I took a walk along Henderson Waves, Singapore’s highest pedestrian bridge, with stunning views and unique architecture. I wrapped up the day at the grave of a Chinese philanthropist, a quiet and unexpected find in the city. A bit unusual, but hey, I like to keep things different!

This was definitely one for those who want to see the real side of Singapore, beyond the usual touristy spots. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
