Oaxacan Chocolate is known as “the drink of the Gods”. To learn more about chocolate Oaxaqueño, we had the opportunity to meet with the founders of Chocolate Guelaguetza.

Maria Teresa and Hector Gomez told us how they started Chocolate Guelaguetza. We also went to the store of Chocolate Guelaguetza and watched how chocolate is made.

Their chocolate is 100% natural working directly with fincas in Chiapas and Tabasco where they know the quality of the cacao.

This is Claire and Rosemary from Authentic Food Quest on a quest to experience local culture through food.

Serving Oaxacan chocolate is an art. Oaxacans most commonly serve chocolate with water. Maria Teresa made us wonderful cups of chocolate using the traditional molinillo.

If you are looking to taste artisanal Mexican chocolate, you can buy some on Amazon https://amzn.to/3ojO2lg

Thank you for watching.
