Over 700, 000 people in the UK have autism. A study
found that only 32.1% of people on the spectrum had a
partner, and only 3% were married.

We delve into the lives of people who are considered
“socially inept” on the autism spectrum.
Alfie Bolton is 27 years old and works in retail. He has had
a bad experience when it comes to dating. He has mostly
dated neurotypical individuals because those are the
people he has been around.
Dean T Beirne is a 28-year-old, stand-up comedian. He
had one serious relationship at the age of 16; a fairy tale
romance that fizzled out. Though Dean goes on dates, he
doesn’t want to enter serious relationships due to the fear
of getting hurt again.
Lucy Moon is a 24-year-old actor who wants to show that
people with autism can still achieve anything, despite what
people might think. She says autism “is not a disability but
a superpower.”
TikTok influencers, Holly and Diego Hernandez. A
neurodivergent couple who has been married for two
years. In the past year they have been documenting their
relationship online. Holly has openly spoken about her
autism and is happy to talk
