Sometimes your mac starts to run slower....so let's explore some quick and easy ways to speed up your Mac and improve its performance. Whether your Mac is slowing down, taking longer to load apps, or just feeling sluggish overall, I've got you covered with practical tips that can make a big difference.

10) Login Items & Extensions - Disable unnecessary apps that launch at startup, or run in the background
9) Reduce Visual Effects - Disable or reduce visual effects like transparency and animations.
8) Restart Your Mac...Often
7) Reindex Spotlight - If your Mac's slowdowns are related to Spotlight searches, reindexing it may help.
6) Free Up Disk Space - Keep at least 10-15% of your hard drive free by removing large files or unused apps. You can use tools like CleanMyMac or manually delete files and uninstall apps via Finder.

Release the keys, and your Mac will finish starting up.
Your Mac’s PRAM will be reset, and default settings for things like volume and time zone will be restored.

For Apple Silicon Macs (M1/M2/M3):
PRAM/NVRAM is automatically managed on Apple Silicon, so there's no manual reset needed. Restarting the Mac typically resolves any issues related to PRAM/NVRAM.
