Leonid and “Culture Shock” traveled to New Mexico in the USA to find out how they live on the remote Native American reservation of the Zuni tribe. Indigenous Americans or Native Americans are people who lived in America before the arrival of colonizers. Now this is a minority, and even the Americans themselves know nothing about their lives. Indigenous people live on reservations - territories designated specifically for them. Basically, they’re small states within the US. Several hundred Indigenous tribes live in America. And they all have different languages, traditions, and even religions. The Zuni tribe is unique: they managed to preserve not only their language but also their traditional religion. At the same time, the population of the tribe is only 15 thousand people. It’s basically one small village with its own unique traditions. And it’s impossible to believe that it is located in the middle of the United States, on the border of Arizona and New Mexico. We met the residents of the Indigenous reservation, talked with them about their traditions, history, language, modern life, and how they feel living in America.
