I made a simple cape/shawl. It's easy to make even if you're not a seamstress. About 1.5 x 1.5 meters of fabric is enough to make this. The cape/shawl is suitable for fall, spring and winter depending on the fabric you use. I usually make this with felt or wool... The type of hem I use is "fold over elastic". Fold Over Elastic makes awesome binding for so many garment types. Hope you find this video helpful. Good luck!
