This is how I electrified my chicken tractor to protect our chickens from predators. I ran a single strand of poly wire around the perimeter with easy disconnects on the front and rear to facilitate opening the door for feeding and placing the wheels on for moving the tractor. Since we did this we have had no problem with any predators getting our birds.
