This is part one of three videos where I show a basic how to swap gauge clusters in Tacoma Trucks.

From Youtuber Jeff Sheldon: The ECU/ECM is actually behind the glove box. The wiring behind the mid-dash console assembly is more for wire junctions, airbag control, HVAC, etc. The dangling, unused, wiring behind the dash blanks (where switches would appear with better package deals) are ideal 12V taps for low-amp gauges or lighted switches, even allowing brightness control. On this model, the 4WD fuse socket in the fuse assembly is perfect for supply power to other items via an add-a-fuse.
