OBSCURIST TOURIST 125 - Come along as I marvel at the 1/12th scale Southsea Model Village, built in 1956, which features more than 40 miniature buildings, houses, forts and castles, as well as a `G' scale garden railway.

The third-acre landscaped gardens are set inside the grounds of an old Victorian fort. Contained inside are a large scale electric garden railway, a 100ft-long rifleman's tunnel, a scale model of Portsmouth Guildhall, a 10,000-gallon waterfall and stream, and a small toy museum.

They are located on Southsea seafront next to the canoe lake and rose gardens, just 30 seconds walk from the beach. The model village is a delightful place to spend time for both young and old. Set in beautifully maintained gardens with 100s of different varieties of flowers it truly is a great place to spend an afternoon. The Rifleman's Tunnel which is 125ft long and holds our scale handmade model of Portsmouth Guildhall and Spinnaker Tower.
