In this video I am building a wickiup of dead spruce trees, spruce roots and moss. And a rucksack of spruce branches and roots.

I was making a wickiup at another location. I had made an underground air vent, collected rafters and debranched them. To find it destroyed. So I made this in another, and bigger forest.
My plan was to also make an air vent here, but the wickiup is between 4 big spruce trees, and there is a lot of big roots, and I didn't want to destroy them.

I use a lot of roots in the making of both the wickiup and the rucksack. I had a long walk to get here, and I was fortunate that the gravel road I walked on, had just been scraped, and it had exposed and teared up a lot of roots, so I collected the longest ones.

When I filmed the overnighter, it was more than a month later than when I covered the wickiup with moss. It had been warm and windy for a longer period, so the moss had shrunken. When filming inside the wiki, it looks worse than it is. It will hold a good downpour, a fire inside will help dry the moss, except furthest away and close to the ground.

My dog:
Musen (the mouse) is a labradoodle
She is half brown labrador and half black/white toy poodle.
Her real name is Effie, but i only use that when her hearing is bad. ;)
