Road tripping back from NC to PA I finally decided to stop and check out the New River Gorge! Normally on this drive I would have two kids with me and be tight on time to get home at a decent hour, but because I left early enough and was by myself I was ready to explore something new and came across something incredible! I was expecting to get out and go look at a cool overlook and a nice view of the bridge, I was not prepared to see a road going under the bridge or even find a way down to that road. But I did just that!! Got back in the car and pulled up the map to see what I had to do to get down there!
