One of the first people to be questioned in the aftermath of the murder of Mary Kelly, was her lover, Joseph Barnett.

The couple had lived together in the tiny room at 13 Miller's Court up until 10 days before her murder occurred, and they had parted following an argument.

Needless to say, when her body was found in that room on Friday the 9th of November, 1888, Joseph Barnett became a person of interest, and he was interrogated for four hours by the extremely experienced detective, Inspector Frederick George Abberline.

In this video you will learn the results of that interview, as well as be able to assess the case put for Barnett's having been Jack the Ripper, which had been put forward in recent years.
