Natural swimming ponds are in vogue: summers are getting warmer and garden owners want to refresh themselves without chlorine.

Swimming ponds have a plant-free pool and are cleaned via a planted gravel area in the water overflow zone.

Landscape designer Mike Meyer shows how to install a swimming pond in a garden: From planning, digging the pit with an excavator, building the walls, to installing the liner, it takes about six weeks - then the blue oasis can be used.
