Venturing for the first time into Pennsylvania's largest tract of roadless wilderness (also surrounded by State Forest Lands), I found myself in the Hammersley Wild Area in North Central PA. As a cousin to the more famous Kettle Creek and Cross Forks nearby, Hammersley Fork has flown under my radar for a number of years. This part of the state is absolutely beautiful and remote. Over the course of a few hours, we managed to catch 7 or 8 Native Brookies up to about 9inches and a decent Wild Brown as well. Really enjoyed this and will definitely return.
