Ramesses I (or Ramses) was the founding pharaoh of ancient Egypt's 19th Dynasty. The dates for his short reign are not completely known but Ramesses I actually had a reign of approximately two full years. Around hundreds of steps will take you, long way down to his tomb and way the down was really, hot, dark and tiring. Ramesses I enjoyed a brief reign but the king had little time to build any major buildings in his reign and was hurriedly buried in a small and hastily finished tomb.
