The river Dove has carved a deep, steep sided valley through the peak district limestone and in many places dramatic cliffs rise up above you on both sides as you walk alongside the fast running waters. Where the valley of Milldale meets Dovedale, nestles a small hamlet of lovely limestone cottages many of which overlook the clear water of the river. Downstream from the graceful double arched bridge at Milldale Dippers can be seen bobbing up and down on rocks and riverside branches and if you peer into the river you can see trout often miraculously stationary in the strong currents.
I love the scenery, houses and nature of the Peak District and I try to capture the beauty of the countryside in a way that I would like to see it. I hope you enjoy this video and music by The Boughs, if you do, please like and subscribe.
