Follow me, Following some Deer through some wintery Western Canadian BUSH! BUSH WHACKIN WE GO!

The best time to pick some new lines through the forest has to be during the winter season. All the low laying vegetation and grass is laying flat dead under the snow which creates the perfect contrast between the ground and trees. Awesome for picking your way through some random new lines.

Here I've found a small herd of deer that live in the area and have been traveling the paths of least resistance through the forest, and they usually choose some pretty great routes! Following the hoof marks in the snow is easy and when you pick up the speed a little, its quite obvious which trees to go between. Of course its a game of chance with some of the downed trees and stumps littered throughout the forest and hiding under the snow drifts. But if you can keep your weight back, the front end light, and your forward momentum then you are damn sure in for a good time. I swear it's less intimidating pounding through the bush in the winter since most of the 'carnage' of logs and sticks is hidden from view and just looks like mounds of snow, pick your line and use them as little jumps! Pretty frign fun i say.

If your looking to ride your dirt bike year round, go get yourself some Grip Studs for your tires and get at it!
