Today we will be navigating US Highway 41 thoroughly along the lake front of Lake Michigan. The drive will initiate from Calumet River in South Chicago Neighborhood in Chicago's south side and will terminate at Foster Avenue in Edgewater Neighborhood in north side. US 41 runs along the shores of Lake Michigan and adopts several names while it snakes through the urban corridor of great city of Chicago. South Shore, South Lake Shore, North Lake Shore and East Marquette Dr are some of the names it morphs into while whizzing through Chicago.
We will be passing through neighborhoods of South Chicago, South Shore, Jackson Park/Woodlawn, Hyde Park, Kenwood, Oakland, Douglas, Near South Side, South Loop, Loop, Streeterville, Gold Coast, Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Uptown and Edgewater. Some notable landmarks we pass today are Museum of Science and Industry, Soldiers Field, McCormick Center, Field Museum, Buckingham Fountain and Navy Pier.
The distance covered today is 20.1 miles and time taken was about 32 mins. Enjoy!!!!!
