Presented by #NoFilter, “Tatlong Bituin sa Hilaga” (Three Stars in the North) is a documentary by journalist Jeff Canoy as he travels to Mavulis Island in Batanes to see how the military and local fishermen are protecting the country’s colors - and its three stars and sun - at the northern frontier.

The documentary also looks into the recurring maritime issues that arise in the waters off the island. Canoy features how Philippine security forces handle such territorial threats. Fisherman Luis Balanoba shares how some foreign poachers visit the rich fishing ground. Finally, Canoy visits a small military facility and shelter that have been built to signify the country's sovereignty on the uninhabited island.
