The locomotive roster on my HO Scale Manchester and Deepwater Railroad expands again, this time with some foreign road power: a Southern Railway unit for use on the turn that runs from Belle Isle Yard on the Southern to South Yard on the Seaboard Airline.

Follow along and see how I installed TCS DCC and sound in a in a HO Scale Life-Like Proto 2000 GP7. This is my third conversion; and certainly the most challenging to date. There is not a lot of room to work with, especially for those who want to include a Keep Alive. In addition, the locomotive didn't run when I received it from the bargain bin on eBay. By stripping it down pretty far, I learned a lot about how these locomotives work, and learned about new (to me) speaker and LED lighting solutions. I hope you enjoy watching me work through all these issues and wind up with a very smooth running locomotive that sounds fantastic!
