I found this unbranded vice a year ago at a scrap yard. Other than the rust pitting, there was damage to the jaws, the handle was seized, and the spindle nut was completely missing.
I could see it needed a lot of work, but had the potential to be a nice tool. I finally got around to restoring it.

Some additional notes before you comment;
►When clamping the moving jaw of the vice at the mill, I put some screw jacks between the cast iron flanges to prevent damage.
►The alignment surfaces were only touched up with a wire brush and scotch brite to preserve the alignment. I checked the alignment of these and they were very straight, even after my welding
►To prevent annealing the jaws, I limited the amount of welding when removing the stuck screws, and while surface grinding I applied coolant before each pass. A test with a file shows they are still hard
►The screws were made using 4140 for longevity
►I honestly have no idea what the original spindle nut looks like, I made up something with what I had on hand
►All cast iron stick welding was using cast iron nickel electrodes
►Vice is the correct wording in Australia, American english uses vise
