The 1993 Soul Train Music Awards were held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA on March 9, 1993. The show was hosted by Natalie Cole, Patti LaBelle and Luther Vandross. Michael Jackson tied with Boyz II Men as the most awarded artists of the night, with each act taking home 3 awards. One of Michael’s 3 wins was in the Best Male R&B/Soul Single category for his song ‘Remember The Time’. He also performed the track during the ceremony, seated in the center of the stage and surrounded by dancers - due to an ankle injury.
