We've had a fair few questions about submitting "Reader's Cars" (or are they "Subscriber's Cars" now?) pieces as we did when PPC was still a magazine. We'd love to do this again in video format, so Ben and Will decided to put together a bit of a "how to" guide.

This entire thing was shot in Ben's garage (which bares a striking and slightly suspicious resemblance to our local scrapyard) on a phone. Got a smartphone from the last 6-7 years? You have everything you need. Got a plug-in microphone for it? Even better. Perhaps one of your kids has the latest iPhone that you can borrow for a few minutes. Better still!

Remember to record a few 3-4 second zoomed-in shots of the interesting details of your car that you've spoken about as well as a few static shots of the car as a whole from different angles.

Once you're done? Send everything as a WeTransfer (it's free) file to [email protected] or [email protected] and we'll do the rest!

If you've missed anything essential we'll get back in touch and ask you for it. Once we've got a few submissions we'll get it all online.
