This week we end up metal detecting two old 1700's Colonial properties in search of long lost relics and coins that haven't been touched in centuries. The first house had so much promise that we lost sleep all week just thinking about it, and as luck would have it once we got there the worst thing happened and we had to leave. We decided to go to a place we had been to before and on the drive there Charlie spotted an old colonial house where the home owner was outside doing yard work. We quickly pulled over and got permission to detect this impromtu house instead that paid off in spades! So many interesting and cool old items were coming out of the ground at a house that was totally just stumbled across!
