If you have Ice build up the freezer will no longer work . Eskimos build an igloo with ice .cause of ice build up is 1- Drain clog 2-freezer door was left open several hours 3- heating element on defrost is broken, fan is not working . If you remove the ice the freezer will wok. If heating element on defrost is broken the freezer will ice up again as it turn moisture in air and grocery to ice again. The more you open the freezer the more it has to defrost. we pulled the drain hose in the back off and cleaned it and problem was solved .
