Finally! My video for Mary in the Morning took a month in the making! This is a big favourite of mine and i consider it one of Elvis' best ballads of the 70's.I really like the lush overdubs and together with the original instruments used at the recording session with Elvis' rich vocal its an epic production, so an epic production needs an epic video to try and do it justice and i hope my video does just that.I chose footage from Elvis' 1968 movie Live a Little, Love a Little with Michelle Carey his costar from that movie in the role of Mary in the morning.I happen to think Michelle fits the role of Mary very well with Elvis singing about the woman he loves very much. The love story is mainly set against the backdrop of the california coast with the sea gulls ever present and a wise old man guiding the happy couple through their journey and all their tomorrows.
