Here at Showalter's Country Meats LLC we make a variety of SMOKED, CURED, & FULLY COOKED BRATWURSTS. We usually have some warmed up for you to sample when you walk into our facility, but some people have shared that when they prepare our brats at home, they are not as delicious as they had been at our sample table. So, lots of those folks are asking us "How do you prepare those Bratwursts?" Really the preparation of our Smoked & Cooked Brats is quite basic. Since they are fully cooked already, they just need to be warmed up. "HEAT & EAT" The way we do it here is just put a little water in the bottom of a griddle and put it on moderate heat. If it boils too much, the skins peel off. If you put too much water in, the flavor tends to leech out. But if you put just a little water in there, and have the heat moderate, it will warm them up so nice, and that steam and water will keep your casings nice and tender and the whole brat will just be juicy and bursting with flavor. I hope you find that helpful, and remember that you are always welcome to drop by and enjoy some right off our sample table.
