What's up Folks,

Here is a full review of out time at the Friendly Fun Resort Vallarta Mexico. We only stayed here for 2 days due a Hurricane (Lidia) that arrived on our departure date. Essentially the Airport shutdown at 2pm, last flight out at 1:30pm. My was was later in the evening, so we ended up at the Friendly Fun Hotel which worked out great all things considered.

Before switching resorts, we were at a larger resort farther from Vallarta Downtown. It was the RIU Jalisco. It was more options and space but it was far from things to do, you would need to drive or taxi. The Friendly Fun is smaller, has less food options, and space, but it is in walking distance of a lot of local things to do. So really both are great options with trade offs.

If you are looking for a resort spot where you do no intend on leaving the resort much for a week - The RIU Jalisco wouldn't be a bad options due to the amount of options and things to do. HOWEVER - If you are young or no kids and looking for a place to party, perhaps the Friendly Fun Hotel would be a better choice for you. There are bars, clubs, restaurants, and things to do around the area. It was also slightly cleaner than the RIU.

What I can say was that the Friendly Fun had a lot of washrooms around to use. Some other resorts can be lacking and sometimes it is closer to head back to your room. Their food was amazing, they didn't have a gigantic selection, but their medium selection was high quality and very good. Their seafood was so satisfying - I was having muscles, clams, scallops, and shrimp until I was full on my second day. Their chicken and beef was also very good.

Really overall, I would return to the Friendly Fun, my family really had I a great time. I would be okay with booking the exact same room with the exact same view and stay there for a week. I don't think you will go wrong with this place.
