This video shows the induced mechanical draft counter flow cooling tower and how it works. We will use an animated 3D model to show a cross sectional view of the cooling tower and we will cover topics such as:

How does a cooling tower work?

What are the main components of a cooling tower?

What is the difference between an induced and forced draft cooling tower?

The main components discussed are the fill (heat exchanger), drift eliminator, spray nozzles and fan.

Note, this is not a natural draft (hyperbolic/hyperboloid) cooling tower, but you can see a video of that here:

I forgot to mention the words ‘counter flow’ in this video although I will create a video for this at a later date (difference between counter and cross flow towers).
