SORRY IN ADVANCE! I was not wearing my own helmet for the first time literally EVER. So, I fell victim to distraction brought on by the INTENSE heat and rode without awareness to my helmet strap situation. It dangles in SO many shots. Just try not to focus on it and it's not so bad. I deleted so much footage where it was unwatchable due to it blowing right against the camera nonstop. Which is sad because there were some fun little drops.So we climbed nearly 1400 ft (430 m) in blistering heat topping out around 104° f (40 °c) Our guide Lek came from basically the only (certainly the best) mtb shop in Chiang Mai, Trailhead. Very reasonably priced and super knowledgeable about the area and trails. That being said, this ride killed me. I'd just come off a GNARLY 4 day spell of severe food poisoning. Energy was not tip top, but I ground it out.
