My first big adventure after arriving on Negros Island was to Mayana Peak. While it may be a short 15-minute hike for most, I came all the way from San Carlos City on my bike. With 835m of incline gained on the bike, it was lucky the hike to Mayana Peak was just 15 more minutes. I camped atop the peak overnight in some pretty crazy, rainy weather but was treated to a spectacular sunrise before riding back down to San Carlos by 8am for breakfast.
