My brother and I took a quick overnight trip around Wilmington via the Cape Fear River and the Intracoastal waterway to prep for a MUCH bigger trip we’ve got in the works soon. We put in at Archie Blue community park in Wilmington, NC and paddled out to the Cape Fear River, then south to Campbell Island to camp. Fortunately, the weather conditions turned out to be perfect and we got to experience a much different kind of river than I was used to…good times!
