Spring should have sprung by the weekend of the Severn Valley Railway Spring Steam Gala, but instead there was mixed weather conditions of harsh bitter winds, rain and snow, as well as some sunshine at times! The strong winds and heavy snow made for a difficult time trying to film, but this didn't deter many from getting amazing scenes in the snow over the Sunday. The gala was mainly Eastern themed, although it had a Western feel at times with 6023, 53808 and the home locos. Big well done to the gala organisers and the volunteers on the line for such a good event in the conditions and for the quick replacement for 1264 in the form of 53808.
