Hello everyone, we're Bram and Simon, two Dutch gay guys and future fathers. Just over a year ago, we found this old French farmhouse and, after overcoming a few obstacles, we made it ours. We're thrilled to share our journey of transforming this old ruin into our dream home, especially with our baby girl arriving in two months.

This week was all about windows, window week as wel call it! After weeks of anticipation, our new windows finally arrived, and we started installing them, prioritizing our daughter’s room. With the windows in place, all the major renovations are complete, and we are now ready to welcome our daughter into her beautifully prepared bedroom. We also made great progress in the bathroom, with only one wall left to finish.

Bram’s father joined us this week and tackled some crucial repairs on our wheel loader. Previously, we had no dashboard, leaving us in the dark about oil pressure, diesel levels, and water temperature. Thanks to his expertise, we now have full visibility into these important metrics.
