Bought another 1666 with sound o power tender. Pretty decent price from the bay considering the price these tenders are going for. Always taking a chance when they're listed "as is" but I figured if the board doesn't work I can always use the actuator to put sound in a custom tender. Decided to ground the sound board to the lead truck on the tender to see if the increase in performance was worth doing and it certainly is. Tender works great with or without load and forward/reverse. Also added a drop of railzip to each axle of the actuator wheel to give it better contact. Tender now works great, board is a good one. Locomotive was serviced too, runs & smokes great.
