Our first official bo/kun kata in Seidokan. Others have created various beginner level forms, but this was the first staff kata in Toma's Seidokan.
Originally named "Kihon Bo" (Basic Staff), since Toma's passing it has been renamed Toma no Kun.
Toma sensei took an old form, Ufugusuku no Kun, simplified it and added a bit from the end of Tokumine no Kun, to create this kata.
While variations in technical performance exist, the "both okay" attitude of Toma sensei prevails in our Seidokan family.
