From 1937 to 1959 the Daytona 200 motorcycle races were held on a 4.2 mile beach and road course located south of Daytona Beach. The beach course had a 2 mile straightaway on the beach, with a 180 degree bend at each end, entering and exiting US route 1, which was used as the second paved straightaway. Filmed by Dayton Motorcycle Club member Pat Yount.
