‘Ame’ means ”rain” in Japanese but this original composition by taiko artist Kenny Endo is dedicated to the victims of aggression so prevalent in the world today. It was originally dedicated to the victims of 9-11 and victims of that tragedy’s revenge. This performance was from the virtual livestream concert 雨 AME, Tears of the Earth, broadcast from the historic Hawaii Theatre on May 22, 2021.
