This is my second video of my JD Garage plasma table build. In this video, I will show you how I added drag chains to the table. I also added an extra tube, along the Y axis, which a bearing mounted to the end of the X axis tube runs across.

For those interested in the STL files, you can download them from:
https://github.com/CNCBuiltbyme/

Please keep in mind, you will have to purchase the original plans from JD's Garage website. The above STL files are only for the 3D printed modifications I added to the build.

UPDATE:
I had some questions about the drag chains, so I'm providing more details here. I purchased my drag chains from Ali Express years ago.

1.) The correct size for the Y-Axis drag chain is important because the STL file was designed around this size drag chain.

Product Name: Startnow Plastic Drag Chains Wire Carrier With End Connectors Bridge Transmission Cable Chain CNC Router Laser Machine Towline

Select “TypeA, Bridge”

Select “15x50 mm” size

Qty needed is 2 meters (but double check for your set up)

2.) The X-Axis drag chain is not so critical... I guess any size would be OK since there are no STL file that require this particular one. 10x40mm or 10x30mm inside dimension should be OK.

Product Name: 1 Meter Length Black Plastic Drag Chain Cable Wire Carrier Not Open for 3D Printer and CNC Machines

Select “10X40mm” (if they have it, 10x30mm also OK)

Qty needed is 2 meters (but double check for your set up)
