The dates are cleaned to remove dust, dirt, and any residues. This can be done by washing them in water or wiping them clean with a cloth.
The dates are spread out on large trays or mats in open spaces to dry under the sun. This natural drying process can take several days, depending on the weather conditions.
To make Chuhara, the semi-dried dates are further dehydrated. This involves extended sun drying or additional time in a dehydrator until the moisture content is significantly reduced.
The dates become harder and chewy as they lose moisture, which is the desired texture for dry dates.
Once fully dried, the Chuhara is stored in a cool, dry place to prevent it from absorbing moisture from the environment.
Packaging: The dry dates are packaged in airtight containers or bags to maintain their quality during transportation and sale.
