Once upon a time, Elio e le Storie Tese (Elio and the Tense Stories) were hunted by the Italian government because of the song they played on the stage of May Day in Rome, called "Sabbiature".
For this, they flee to Bulgaria, where they are initially accused of smuggling a forbidden song: Ramaya. Fortunately, the misunderstanding is quickly cleared up and, indeed, the nice little complex receives a gift from the Bulgarian State Radio and Television Female Choir, "Le Mystére des voix bulgares". This music could change the world: it's called PIPPPERO!
Actually, it didn't change anything, perhaps the receipt was missing or the guarantee had expired, maybe, but these are details: what really matters is the reportage of that incredible adventure!
Twenty-nine years later, as part of the 2021 program DDR (Degenerated Differently Regenerated), you can see the video as you've never seen it before: Full HD, with the help of Topaz! It's freehand drawing or it's a digital copy of an old analog tape? Does it really make sense to look for this difference, when we speak of electronic regeneration? Enjoy the result on the big screen: by God it pumps!!!
Directed by: Riccardo Paoletti.
Source: Riccardo Lucchesi.
Video Editing: El Pastrano, with Topaz!
English translation: Marok.
As always, the mp4 source (not worsened by YouTube) can be downloaded for free from marok.org.
